The bigger picture

Good tools need
clear ownership.

A laptop needs an update. A suspicious sign-in needs a decision. A deleted folder needs to come back. Those are connected business problems, even when different tools handle them.

Kaseya 365 brings related capabilities together. The next step is deciding how they fit your environment—and who will configure them, review alerts, approve changes, and help you recover. That is the conversation to have with Stadtler Tech.

Three layers to consider

Start with what
you need to protect.

Endpoint and User are separate subscriptions. Backup scope varies by product and workload. Build the combination around your risks and existing tools.

01

Devices

Kaseya 365
Endpoint

Keep the devices behind your work visible, maintained, and protected.

Discuss endpoint protection

A starting point for businesses that need a more coordinated approach to computer management and endpoint security.

See & maintain
Remote monitoring and management, plus patch management for supported devices and software.
Detect & protect
Antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and ransomware detection capabilities.
Back up endpoints
Endpoint backup, with supported systems and storage allowances to check against your requirements.
What to ask about managed endpoint security
02

People & identities

Kaseya 365
User

Look beyond the laptop to the accounts and cloud applications people use every day.

Discuss user protection

Relevant when your concerns include phishing, compromised credentials, suspicious cloud activity, or recovering SaaS data.

Help prevent
Email security, security awareness training and testing, and dark web monitoring.
Help respond
Cloud detection and response for supported SaaS applications, including alerting and response automation.
Help recover
SaaS backup for supported Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace data.

03

Data & continuity

A recovery path
for the right data.

Restoring an email, rebuilding a laptop, and recovering a server require different plans.

Discuss backup & recovery

Datto is part of the Kaseya product family. Its backup products address different workloads; they are not interchangeable.

Cloud application data

Datto SaaS Protection

Independent backup and recovery for supported Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data. Check the applications, retention, and restore options your business needs.

Critical server workloads

Datto SIRIS / BCDR

A separate business continuity and disaster recovery solution combining backup with local and cloud recovery options for suitable environments.

SIRIS is not an automatic inclusion in Kaseya 365 Endpoint or User. Define backup coverage, recovery objectives, and testing in your scope.

The service around the software

Make the handoffs
part of the plan.

For a full managed cybersecurity conversation, look at the people and processes alongside the product list. Start with these four decisions.

Already have an IT lead? Explore a co-managed arrangement with a clear division of responsibility.

  1. 01

    Know what is covered

Map devices, users, cloud applications, and business-critical data. Identify existing protection and gaps before adding subscriptions.

  2. 02

    Agree who acts

Define alert ownership, support hours, escalation contacts, and who can approve actions such as isolating a device or locking an account.

  3. 03

    Plan the rollout

Review compatibility and current contracts. Agree on configuration, a staged deployment, and communication with your employees.

  4. 04

    Make recovery practical

Name the systems to restore first, the recovery targets, the testing approach, and the person responsible for checking the results.

Scope before price

What should a
Kaseya 365 quote cover?

Vendor license pricing is only one part of a managed solution. A useful proposal shows the technology and the work needed to support it.

Talk about your requirements
EnvironmentDevices, users & supported systems
ProtectionProducts, tiers & configuration
ServiceHours, responsibilities & escalation
RecoveryWorkloads, retention & testing
Commercial termsImplementation, term & separate charges

Availability, licensing, final pricing, and the service scope are confirmed in a written proposal.

What is Kaseya 365?

Kaseya 365 is a family of subscriptions for IT management and security. Endpoint focuses on devices; User focuses on people, cloud accounts, and SaaS data; Ops focuses on IT service operations. This page focuses on Endpoint and User as starting points for a business cybersecurity conversation.

What is the difference between Kaseya 365 Endpoint and User?

Endpoint brings together device monitoring, patching, endpoint security, and endpoint backup. User brings together email protection, security awareness training, dark web monitoring, cloud detection and response, and SaaS backup. They address different risks and have different licensing. Your device count and user count may differ.

How do Kaseya 365 Express and Pro compare?

Kaseya 365 Endpoint is available in Express and Pro tiers. The key distinction is managed detection and response (MDR/SOC), which is included in Pro. Confirm current components, supported systems, storage allowances, and licensing terms in the proposal. A vendor MDR capability does not by itself define all of your local IT provider’s support hours or recovery responsibilities.

Does Kaseya 365 replace Microsoft 365?

No. Microsoft 365 provides business applications such as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. Kaseya 365 is a separate IT management and security product family. Kaseya 365 User can add protection and SaaS backup around supported Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments; it does not replace their application licenses.

Is Datto backup included in Kaseya 365?

Backup capabilities depend on the subscription and workload. Endpoint includes endpoint backup, while User includes SaaS backup. Datto SIRIS business continuity and disaster recovery is a separate solution to evaluate for suitable server workloads. Do not assume that one subscription covers every computer, server, cloud application, and recovery requirement.

How much does a managed Kaseya 365 solution cost?

A useful quote accounts for devices, users, product tiers, backup requirements, implementation, and ongoing service responsibilities. Vendor licensing and a managed service are different scopes. Ask Jim to identify the proposed components, service hours, response process, retention, contract term, and any separate project or recovery charges before you decide.

Can this work alongside our internal IT team or existing tools?

Start with a review of the tools and responsibilities already in place. A co-managed arrangement can define which tasks stay with your team and where outside support would help. Compatibility, licensing commitments, and overlapping protection should be reviewed before any replacement or rollout.
